Hi, I’m Laura — therapist, lifelong learner, and dog mom to a spirited Labrador named Remy, who keeps me on my toes, but most importantly, keeps me grounded and mindful. I believe therapy works best when it feels human, warm, and relatable, so I’d like to offer a glimpse into who I am beyond my credentials and approaches to therapy.
I grew up in North Little Rock, Arkansas, navigating life as a child of divorced parents. Those early experiences truly shaped my understanding of resilience, belonging, and the emotional struggles of kids and teens — and they continue to inform my empathy and approach today.
My path into this work began with a deep curiosity about our human experience and a desire to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Psychology, graduating Cum Laude, and later completed a master’s in Clinical Social Work. Before entering private practice, I have invested extensive time as a counselor on a crisis line supporting individuals of all ages, through a broad range of mental health and life challenges, an experience that has strengthened my clinical skills and my belief in the power of human connection.
When I’m not working, I enjoy travel (Italy and France are favs), exploring the beauty and majesty of nature with my other half, walks & adventures with Remy and supporting local animal rescues. Animals in need have always held a special place in my heart, and I often find myself corralling and helping these precious souls land in safe spaces.
I bring all of these experiences — personal, educational, and professional — into my work as a therapist. My hope is that when you land on this page, you feel a sense of warmth, welcome, and possibility. I’m here to walk with you, to listen deeply, and to support you in bringing to awareness the strengths and wisdom you carry within you.
